Every now and then I’ll have a consignment auction. I’ve had a lot of calls from people lately wanting to sell a few of their items. OK, here’s the date! June 16th and I will have it at the American Legion, here in Newton. I do have several consignors already, however, if you have some good clean items for an auction format, this is your chance. I like these types of auctions! You never what may show up for sale and as always it’s fun bidding on a bargain! In a continuing effort to keep the consignment auctions fun and also profitable for the sellers and good usable items or antiques and collectibles, I have a list of items that will not be accepted at auction. It’s really common sense stuff. Stuff like, no live hand grenades, rattle snakes and such. Please take a moment and have a look at the list provided for you below. There can be exceptions, however I do reserve the right to decline any items that won’t fit into one of my auctions.It does make a difference on how well items sell. Non-sell-able stuff, slows the auction down and people just don’t like it. I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I need to make a living and that kind of stuff won’t do it. Call and ask.
I will have a 30 year collection of cobalt blue glass and glassware! Some very nice. There will also be some of the old Frankoma seasonal plates. Some are the special Easter plates. There will be some very nice vintage maple furniture. Farm primitives, live traps of the large type, pick up topper for a Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10. A HUGE collection of Elvis related items. Some are very large! Many framed pictures, sealed collector card boxes. More stuff be called in daily, so check back often!As always, check my website for more info and pics! If you had a chance to look at some of my past posts, you have seen some of the beautiful furniture available at the June 2nd auction in Ottumwa. It is fine furniture that has been used in a couple's home for some years. It is very, very nice furniture. It is used and like any furniture of this vintage, there is some minor usage wear, nicks and bumps. All repairable or would be fine left alone. Not all pieces. Come early and look it over!

Hi Folks, One of the more later pieces of furniture available at the Ottumwa June 2nd auction will be this old solid oak secretary. It is ready for your home right now!That is plastic wrap left on the desk. Ms. Lilly had very good taste in her furniture and this is just a another example of that good taste! Colfax Mineral Water and Old Marbles Iowa Auction

I'm convinced this a Red Wing jug. That 5 is a Red Wing if I've ever seen one. This is going to be a real nice item at auction folks. There will be a little of something for everyone. This jug and the 1940's marbles can be seen on the webpage here.
The Thos. E. Jordan placard was found while moving dirt around the Collister property. The Jordan property abutted or was part of their their yard at one time. This is just a sample of the marbles that will be at the auction. You can click on the pictures on my website and then zoom in on the items.

Folks, it's very apparent that Mr. Collister was an avid outdoorsman! Take a look at some of the new items I've listed on my site here! We've found more fishing, hunting and trapping items. We also found more 1960's girls toys! The pipe stand is a real find! Humidor intact!

I always enjoy auctions in small-town Iowa. Often, an estate will have numerous items of a local flavor. In my home town, it was Maytag stuff. In the case of the June 2nd sale, there will be some spectacular Colfax, IA related items at auction. That Colfax Mineral Water Crock Stoneware Jug is a peach! The soda pop is a national treasure and here it is in central Iowa. It's an antique find, that should do well for the seller. It is in excellent condition. Check out my website for more right here.
